Blank Street brings refreshing twist to summer in London with new matcha menu

Matcha fans rejoice – Blank Street, the beloved New York coffee brand, has launched its new summer menu in London and it perfectly captures the essence of the season. We were invited for a preview at their Shoreditch branch and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the blend of flavours.

This summer, Blank Street is shifting from their traditional milky Matcha Lattes to experiment with lighter textures. The menu highlights fruity profiles, like sweet watermelon and fresh mango, enhanced by zesty yuzu and passionfruit notes.

Highlights include the Mango Passionfruit Matcha, £4.40 / £4.90, Watermelon Matcha Spritz, £4.20 / £4.70, and Yuzu Matcha Spritz, £3.90 / £4.40. The Mango Passionfruit Matcha is my favourite, with its smoothie-like consistency and burst of fresh, fruity flavours!

I also tried the Watermelon Matcha Spritz, infused with a hint of Yuzu, and it’s the perfect drink for unwinding after a long day. These refreshing drinks are perfect companions for a sunny afternoon in the park, so hopefully, London weather will cooperate.

All the drinks pair amazingly with Blank Street’s pastry selection. The Mango Passionfruit Matcha combined with a pistachio pain au chocolat made for a delicious and nutritious breakfast.

Returning to the summer line-up is the best-selling White Chocolate Matcha, combining the brand’s ceremonial Matcha blend with white chocolate oat milk. This drink quickly became a fan favourite.
