Good news for pre-schoolers and their parents - CBeebies favourite Bluey will air series two in the UK, and it will be on TV in just a few weeks.
The popular animation about a 6-year-old Blue Heeler dog and her family will offer new episodes for series two from 1 August on CBeebies and iPlayer.
Featuring Bluey, her younger sister Bingo and parents Bandit and Chilli, it sees them turn everyday family life into hilarious adventures.
The show first launched in Australia in 2018, but has gone on to become a global hit and is popular with UK families, where it was the highest-rating programme on CBeebies for quarter one of 2022.
Series two of Bluey is now going to be made available to UK fans and will be shown for the first time in the UK on CBeebies from Monday, 1 August.
Bluey has been a hit with TV critics, too, and has won numerous awards including the International Emmy Kids Award in the Preschool Category in 2020, the AACTA Award for Best Children’s Program for three years running (2019-21), four Kidscreen Awards in February 2021 and recently in Australia a Logie for Most Outstanding Children’s Programme.
CBeebies viewers have also been treated to some A-list guests recently as an influx of stars read the famous CBeebies Bedtime Story to the channel's young fans.
The segment sees famous guests, as well as the channel's regular presenters, read a story book to viewers just before it goes off air for the night.
Recent readers have included Harry Styles, Steve Carell, Kate Middleton, Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hardy.
EastEnders actor and Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis became the first guest to sign her entire story earlier in 2022, and musicians including Guy Garvey and Arlo Parks recently recorded stories from Glastonbury Festival.
