A body has been found in the search for missing Scots woman Michelle Conroy who disappeared on Saturday evening.

At around 11am on Monday, May 20, the body of a woman was discovered in the Bute Terrace area of Rutherglen.

Formal identification is still to take place, but the family of Michelle, has been informed. Police Scotland said there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The 57-year-old was last seen at around 4pm on Saturday, May 18, in Mossgiel Avenue in Rutherglen. Officers on Sunday said she had never gone missing before and it was "extremely unusual" for her not to be in contact with family and friends.

A further confirmed sighting was later made of Michelle at around 5.55pm in Queen's Park in Glasgow.
