Boilers have been removed and fridge freezers snatched in a burglary spree across new-build estates.

Officers are investigating a number of reports of burglaries in Hartlepool and Wynyard, including on Spindle Way, Musgrave Garden Lane, Rodney Street, Riverston Close, Vine Close, Golden Meadows, and Reedston Road. Cleveland Police says it has received 10 reports of burglaries between February 29 and April 5.

Items stolen during the incidents include kitchen units, fridge freezers, washing machines and a composite door, with "thousands of pounds worth of goods" being snatched across the board. The force is now appealing for CCTV or dash cam footage showing anyone "acting suspiciously" around several locations.

Here is a list of dates, times, and locations police are appealing for more information on:

  • Spindle Way, Hartlepool, between 5pm on Thursday, February 29, and 7am on Monday, March 1, and between 7pm on Thursday, April 4, and 7.30am on Friday, April 5.

  • Reedston Road between 1am and 4am on Monday, March 11.

  • Golden Meadows, around 12.50am, on Wednesday, March 13

  • Vine Close, between 4pm on Friday, March 15, and 8am on Monday, March 18

  • Riverston Close, between 5pm on Friday, March 22, and 10am on Monday, March 25

  • Rodney Street between 12.27am and 1.10am on Monday, March 25

  • Musgrave Garden Lane, Wynyard, between midnight and 2am on Friday, March 29
