Bomb disposal squad called in after "suspicious items" found in Kidderminster
THE BOMB disposal squad has been called in to an address in Kidderminster after a “number of suspicious items” were discovered by police.
Stourport Road has been closed and a 100-metre cordon put in around the address “as a precaution” – police said tonight (Saturday June 29).
Residents have been evacuated.

Superintendent Mo Lansdale, said: “I know that seeing this amount of police activity in a residential area will be alarming for people, but I’d like to reassure you these measures are a precaution.
“Support will be put in place to help those who have been evacuated, and we will provide updates when we are able."
