A date has now been set for the opening of a new Boots hearing care store at a popular Medway shopping centre. The health and beauty retailer will be opening its next Hearingcare store at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Gillingham on Wednesday, May 15.

Only the fifth store of its kind in the UK, once open it will offer a range of services and products for hearing care. Among the new unit’s primary features are the immersion room and self-screening centres, which will help customers test new hearing aids.

The rooms will be able to simulate a variety of noise settings, such as busy restaurants and concerts, giving people with hearing loss a chance to experience the effect of wearing hearing aids. From within the immersion room, customers will be able to experience the latest hearing technology for themselves.
