Boris Johnson's wife Carrie announces she is pregnant with third child

Carrie Johnson has revealed she is pregnant with her third child.

In an Instagram post, Boris Johnson's wife said: "New team member arriving in just a few weeks.

"I've felt pretty exhausted for much of the last eight months but we can't wait to meet this little one.

"Wilf is [very] excited about being a big brother again, and has been chattering about it non-stop. Don't think Romy has a clue what's coming... She soon will!"

Wilf and Romy are Mrs Johnson's previous children with former prime minister Mr Johnson, 58.

Romy was born in December 2021, and Wilf was born in April 2020.

Mrs Johnson, 35, and Mr Johnson married in May 2021.

The new arrival will be Mr Johnson's eighth child.

He has four children with ex-wife Marina Wheeler, a child born in 2009 as a result of an affair with art consultant Helen Macintyre, and the two with his current wife.

It is the first time the couple have welcomed a child while not living in Downing Street, which they left in September last year after Mr Johnson was ousted by his own government.
