Boss Sees Color for the First Time Thanks to His Employees

After years of helping their boss to color-coordinate his ties with his outfits, student workers at South Dakota State University banded together to take it one step further.

“My entire life, I could never pick out purple, blue, green, orange, or yellow,” Ronnie Straub explained to Storyful.

His team pooled their money together to buy Straub a pair of EnChroma glasses — an optical assistive device that purports to fix color blindness.

The video uploaded to YouTube on May 5 shows Straub’s touching reaction to seeing everyday items in his workplace anew.
