Boston Jogger Chases Down Flasher

Massachusetts State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a jogger accused of flashing a female runner in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Thursday, July 18.

According to state police, the woman said she was jogging at around 7.30 am when the man indecently exposed himself.

Footage of the incident shared by state police shows the woman abruptly turning around and pursuing the man.

State police said the victim – identified by local media as a 6 foot, 1 inch personal trainer and Israeli army veteran – attempted to detain the man while calling out for passersby to contact the police.

“The man resisted the woman’s attempt to detain him and fled the area,” state police said.

Speaking to local media, the woman, a single mother of two who gave her name as Aia, said she held the man down for several minutes while “screaming for someone to call 911.” She lost her hold on him, she said to Boston 25 News, when she tried to call the police herself.

“One more time, life showed me I can only rely on myself,” she said. Credit: Massachusetts State Police via Storyful
