Boulder Bounces After Tumbling Onto Scenic Queensland Highway

A boulder bounced off a scenic highway near Cairns, Queensland after tumbling down a cliff during safety improvement works.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland) were undertaking safety works on the Captain Cook Highway near Rex Lookout and dislodged the boulder to remove the hazard.

The boulder tumbled down the cliff before bouncing clear of a safety fence on the other side of the road.
