Bournemouth police uncover stash of drugs and lock knife

A LOCK knife and class-A drugs were among the items found after officers intercepted a drug deal.

A man was stopped after police spotted a potential drug deal in Bournemouth.

Upon searching, class-A drugs and a lock knife were discovered.

Officers then found a stash of class A and B drugs at a nearby address.

An investigation has begun into the incident which took place on April 17.

A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: "Yesterday afternoon officers from the Boscombe NPT and Bournemouth NET conducted pro-active patrols around Windham Road and Spring Walk, following reports of drug-related activity.

“NPT officers observed a suspected drug deal take place and stopped a male believed to be involved.

“Following a search of the male a quantity of class a drugs were recovered along with a lock knife.

“A nearby address was searched where further class a and b drugs were recovered.

“An investigation into drug supply and possession of an offensive weapon is now underway.

“Thank you to the local community who continue to report these issues to us.

“Please continue to do so as intelligence is extremely helpful in helping us direct the right resources to the right areas at the right times.”
