A boy who has been a "super blue" Chelsea fan since the day he was born missed his chance to be mascot because he was stuck on a faulty train.

Roman, 12, left school early on Wednesday so he could be mascot for the Chelsea Team.

But a faulty train at Earl's Court left fans waiting in the dark on the District Line.

The young boy was trapped on the faulty Tube for more than an hour, according to his mother.

TfL apologised to customers whose journeys were disrupted after a defective train caused delays, and said they will be refunding affected customers.
