Lewisham stabbing: Boy, 14, rushed to hospital after being stabbed in south London

A 14-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in a daylight attack in south London.

The teenager was attacked at around 3.45pm in Lewisham High Street.

Scotland Yard said three males had been arrested after a fight on the busy London street.

Police do not believe the teenager's condition is life-threatening but are waiting for a condition update at hospital.

A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers attended and found a 14-year-old boy suffering stab injuries. The boy has been taken to a south London hospital.

"Officers do not believe his condition is life-threatening, but await a full assessment.

"Three males were arrested at the scene in relation to the incident and a large knife has been recovered.

"A crime scene remains in place."
