A teenage boy has been arrested after a car collided with a cyclist in Battersea on Tuesday evening.

Officers on foot patrol in Wandsworth had approached a stationary car on Silverthorne Road at 10.25pm.

As officers approached the vehicle, the car drove off and collided with a cyclist.

Officers provided first aid to the cyclist, who later received treatment from paramedics.

They were taken to hospital for treatment, where they remain in a stable condition.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent, police said.
