Boy, 6, suffers head injury in hit-and-run

A six-year-old boy suffered a head injury when he was knocked off his bike by a hit-and-run cyclist in Leicester. The crash, which involved the boy and a man riding an electric bike on a path, happened near Torridon Close, Beaumont Leys, at around 6.15pm on Tuesday (May 14).

Officers were called to the scene by East Midlands Ambulance Service, which was treating the boy. The force said the child's injuries were not believed to be life threatening nor life changing.

It added that the man on the electric bike had failed to stop at the scene.
