Boy Finds Wooden Block With Rude Message Inside PS4 Box Instead Of Console

A young boy who was delighted to get a PS4 on Christmas Day was left in tears after finding a block of wood inside the box rather than the console.

Scott Lundy, nine, opened up the present from his parents and excitedly opened up the packaging to set up his new toy, declaring: “This is the best Christmas present ever!”

But rather than find Sony’s latest console inside, Scott instead found a block of wood with the message ‘From c*** and b**** with love’ and a drawing of a penis scrawled over it.

The boy’s stepmother, Kristin, from Wakefield, Massachusetts, was fuming after he was left crying over his ruined Christmas.

She told Fox 25: “He’s crying and he’s upset and he’s in the playroom by himself and he just wants to be alone at that point.

“I was crushed.”

Kristin and the boy’s father, Brian, took the present back to the branch of Target where they bought what they thought was the console.

Happily the store gave them a new PS4 as well as a game and a $100 gift card.

Bizarrely, Target told the couple that similar incidents “happen occasionally” - although no one has any explanation as to how the obscene block appeared inside the box.

They said in a statement: “We never like to disappoint our guests and are thankful for our store team’s quick response to make things right.”
