Brandi Mallory Laid to Rest Near Atlanta: “Extreme Weight Loss” Star Was 'Beyond Loved'

Friends and family gathered together on Monday, Nov. 20 in Stone Mountain, Georgia, to pay their last respects to Brandi Mallory. The former Extreme Weight Loss contestant died of unknown causes on Nov. 8.
"You have given us all 40 years of fabulous through fit, fun, laughter, and your captivating personality," her friend wrote on Facebook. "Baby girl you were beyond loved and your lines sisters showed up and showed out we love you Brandi. But God loves you best!"
A public viewing took place on Nov. 19, and on Monday, Nov. 20, the funeral took place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tucker, Georgia. Mallory will be buried in Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, Ga.

Fans of the makeup artist, who promoted body positivity, have been reeling since the news of Mallory's death broke on Nov. 9.
According to the police report, Mallory, a dance instructor at Dance Your Pounds Off, had stopped by a local Chipotle to pick up dinner, returning to her car at 6pm in the evening of Nov. 8.
On the morning of Nov. 9, a man working at a deli in the same strip mall noticed Mallory in her white Jeep SUV, and grew concerned. He called 911, who pronounced her dead at 8:55 am. There were no signs of foul play, and according to the city's medical examiner, a toxicology report is still pending.
The outpouring of grief for the body-positive makeup artist and Clark Atlanta University alumni was swift — though she'd gained fame and followers for her appearance on Extreme Weight Loss, she also went viral for a YouTube video called "Body Positivity over Perfection," where she was applauded for her dance skills.
"She was always just enrolling everyone in her positivity,” Extreme Weight Loss trainer Chris Powell tells PEOPLE exclusivity of Mallory.
Another friend on Facebook recalled, "If you never met her, you definitely missed out. Brandi was a light, a true queen, she could walk in any room and instantly transform it."
