Jamal died in February last year aged 31, and a coroner later ruled the cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia following cocaine use.
Marking his birthday, Brenda shared a string of pictures on Instagram showing her son throughout his life.
She wrote: “33 years ago today I had the pleasure of becoming your proud mummy.
“You showered me with a beautiful smile, a big heart, lots of laughs and many wise words.”
The TV star – who is also mum to daughter Tanisha - went on: “I miss you so deeply, I just can’t describe, but I know you’re watching over me and Nishee like always, just next to Mum and Dad.
“Blessed Heavenly Birthday my sweet beautiful baby Jamal.
“I love you always and forever.”
She added the hashtag “#dancingwithmyeyesclosed”.
Brenda, 54, was inundated with messages from fans, friends and fellow celebs after her tribute to Jamal, who was behind music platform SBTV.
Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan said: “Thinking of you today my friend… he was such a beautiful soul and will never be forgotten.”
Fellow panellist Ruth Langsford said: “Oh Brenda… sending you and Tanisha so much love and the tightest hug. Hold your memories close darling."
The show’s Kelle Bryan added: “Babe you and Nishee have my heart. There whenever if ever you need me. You know this.
"What a giant you raised and the work you are doing to continue his legacy is amazing.”
