Yahoo News Brenda Edwards moved to tears by song Ed Sheeran has dedicated to her late son
The TV presenter said Sheeran looked after her and her daughter after Jamal's death
Brenda Edwards has told how she was moved to tears when she listened to Ed Sheeran’s song dedicated to her late son.
The Loose Women star’s son Jamal died in February last year aged 31, and a coroner later ruled the cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia following cocaine use.
He had gained fame after setting up the music platform SBTV in 2006 and was credited with helping to launch a string of UK music acts to stardom, including Sheeran, Dave and Jessie J.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Edwards said she was emotional about the song Sheeran has now dedicated to Jamal.
“Ed sent me the final edit two days ago and I’ve kind of been in and out of crying ever since,” said the 53-year-old.
Edwards said Sheeran — who has previously referred to Jamal as “my brother” — had been there for her and her daughter Tanisha.
“When Jamal passed he was literally at my house with me and Tanisha for a whole week just looking after us,” she said.
“There wasn’t anything that he wasn’t sorting out and doing if we needed anything, and everybody has been so, so wonderful and so supportive.”
When Jamal died, Sheeran posted a message on Instagram saying that he “would not be here without him, professionally and personally”.
He said: “Jamal is my brother. His light shone so bright.
“He only used it to illuminate others and never asked for anything in return.
