Bresha Webb is growing her family!
The Run the World star, 39, is pregnant, expecting her first baby with husband Nick Jones Jr. this spring, a rep for the actress exclusively shares with PEOPLE.
Webb tells PEOPLE she was "super surprised" when she learned of her pregnancy news, noting that she froze her eggs five years ago and thought she was "going to have to have a lot more planning involved with going to the doctor."
"We found out when we took the Clearblue digital test in August. Los Angeles had this terrible storm and everyone was in panic mode," she says. "I just knew we were going to make cocktails and watch movies all day and I was like, 'I have this feeling and I feel like I need to take a test.'"
"I'm just a person that always has a Clearblue pregnancy test because you just never know. We actually had the Clearblue digital test pregnancy test and it came up pregnant and I was like, 'Whoa. Wow,' " she recalls, sharing that Jones Jr. was filming the moment. "It's a blessing. We're so grateful."

"H's very sentimental. He was crying," she adds of her husband, who is already dad to 7-year-old daughter McKenzie from a previous relationship. "He's so excited. He was completely a ball of just emotions and super happy. And I have a bonus daughter and we were so excited to share the news with her at the right time."
Webb says it was "so cute" when she and Jones Jr. told McKenzie about her sibling on the way. "We gave her a gift and I got her a crown and I got her a shirt that says 'I'm about to be a big sister' and she totally got it. She really wants to be a big sister."
The actress, who also shares her support for Clearblue's partner March of Dimes and their efforts to raise awareness for Black maternal and infant health. says her pregnancy has been "really good" so far and is "very grateful" she hasn't felt much sickness.
"I'm eating like a 16-year-old, like a tween," Webb laughs. "The baby loves pizza. It loves olives. Just loves very salty, yummy foods. I can eat everything. I made chili last night. The baby really loved that. I just love pizza. A pepperoni pizza and a little bit of Coca-Cola, I'm happy."
As they look forward to welcoming their new addition, the couple, who tied the knot in February, is also excited about their upcoming "wig gender reveal party."
"I want to do a party because I've been in the house. So I want to celebrate and because I'm really goofy and I love to have fun and my friends do too, I want everyone to wear a wig of the color of whatever they think the baby's gender is, blue or pink," she shares. "I'm really excited about that."
Webb adds she's "staying open" to the baby's sex as she's focused on a little one who is "happy and healthy."
"I'm good either way," she says. "I would love a girl because I know that's what my daughter would love. So I would love to have her have a sister, but I just want healthy and happy and a really great delivery."
"We're so excited," she continues. "[Jones Jr.] has already been an amazing father to McKenzie, so it's been great to just jump onboard and get my hands all in that too, to be a stepmom."
"I think we're both looking forward to the whole thing, the journey of it all. I don't want to miss a thing — I feel like Aerosmith," she laughs. "I want to enjoy the delivery. I want to enjoy getting big. This is a beautiful process to just become a mother and to feel the baby. I think we're both enjoying just this whole process of how we're both changing and becoming better and becoming parents to this person we're going to meet."
Webb shares that she's also thinking about her father, whom she lost a year and a half ago, as she prepares to welcome her new addition.
"I think this is his gift to me as well," she says. "I really feel like he wants me to realize that life is so beautiful in every place in creating life, giving life, and I think the baby's going to be like a guardian angel. He's going to be there for the whole process."
