Netflix has announced orchestral covers of some of the most popular songs this year will be included in season three of Bridgerton. Fans will be in for a treat as classical versions of tracks by Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and more will be played.

The streaming service announced seven songs, which will feature in the first four episodes of the series, are due for release on Thursday, May 16. Bridgerton fans can look forward to orchestral versions of “abcdefu” by Gayle, “Dynamite” by BTS and “Jealous” by Nick Jonas.

There will also be orchestral covers of “Cheap Thrills” by Sia and “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish. Plus, “Snow on the Beach” by Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey and “Give Me Everything” by Pitbull.

Justin Kamps, Bridgerton’s music supervisor, told Netflix's Tudum: “Sometimes initially it’s about what matches the choreography, and then later it’s about what matches the scene and the emotion. We have a lot of covers that aren’t necessarily part of ball sequences this year.

"It’s because we found some cute places to insert something that can play as a fun cover. But doesn’t necessarily have to be attached to a dance sequence."

The songs were shared on X by Film Updates. The post has been viewed over 1.4million times, racking up plenty of excited comments from fans.

Natalie replied: “Oh, Bridgerton going all out with the modern tracks in classical style. That's gonna be kinda weird but cool to hear "Dynamite" with violins and stuff.” Bronze said: “That Jealous is gonna HIT OMG."

Jess wrote: “Here for Billie Eilish and Sia.” Diha commented: “JEALOUS YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS OMGGGGGGGGG CANT FKG WAIT.”

Kenya agreed: “IM OBSESSED!” Jen wrote: “Okay this track list is fire honey.” Jo said: “SNOW ON THE BEACH MENTIONED!!!!!”

The new season will see Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) bloom from a wallflower into the new talk of the town. Her relationship with Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) will transform from friends to lovers.

The first half of Bridgerton season three will air on Netflix on Thursday, May 16.
