Brie Larson has defended The Marvels after the film received mixed reviews from critics and bombed at the box-office.
Talking to Radio Times about the underperformance of the film – it is so far the lowest-grossing film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Larson said: "I had such an amazing time working with Nia [DaCosta] and Teyonah [Parris] and Iman [Vellani], and it was just a really blissed out time and I'm so happy with what we did."

She added: "Carol will always be part of me. She changed my life, you know, she changed me. Who I am as a person is forever impacted by her. So, I don't know what the future holds. But I know that she's always going to be with me."
The Marvels acts as a sequel to Captain Marvel and also includes characters from the Ms. Marvel TV series.
The ending of the film also teased the future of the MCU with it featuring the first instance of the X-Men turning up in the series since Disney bought Fox in 2019.
In the scene, Kelsey Grammer reprises his role as Hank McCoy/Beast from the X-Men films in a post-credits sequence with Teyonah Paris as Monica Rambeau and Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau with the scene appearing to be set in a parallel universe.
The film also features a cameo from Hailee Steinfeld who reprises her role as Kate Bishop from Hawkeye.
Having opened to just $46 million at the US box-office, The Marvels became the worst performing MCU movie and with a budget over $200 million, it is expected to be a significant money loser for Disney.
The next MCU movie is expected to be Deadpool 3 which will see the title character enter the cinematic universe as well as Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.
Deadpool 3 currently has a release date of 26 July 2024.
