Bristol Central MP, Carla Denyer, has spoken out about the "unsettling" discovery of human remains at Clifton Suspension Bridge, saying she is "deeply disturbed" by the incident.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that they were called to the bridge shortly before midnight on Wednesday to reports of a man with a suitcase acting suspiciously.

By the time they arrived, the individual had already left, reportedly pursued by a cyclist, but two suitcases were located in the area both of which are believed to contain human remains. Police have now launched a manhunt to locate the man who left the suitcases.
