Although a handful of transfers across League One have been confirmed already, albeit mainly free transfers, the summer transfer window officially opens tomorrow (June 14) which will allow clubs to complete deals that involves buying and selling players under contract.

Bristol Rovers are yet to announce a signing but are understood to be close to confirming the acquisition of centre-back Taylor Moore on a free transfer after the former Bristol City defender left French side Valenciennes in April.

Movement in the market is expected to be stepped up in the coming weeks as the start of pre-season approaches, although supporters will be keen to see a number of signings confirmed beforehand just to ease any concerns after 13 players departed at the end of last season.

Matt Taylor will have the opportunity to drill his style, philosophy and any other characteristics he wishes to see from his team into players without the distraction of a busy fixture schedule having come into the club in December. However, it's no secret that there will be numerous staffing changes, not just in the playing squad but also coaching staff with Anssi Jaakkola, Kevin Bond and Jamie McAllister all leaving Rovers as well as former Head of Data and Analysis Adam Mahoney.

In terms of the Gas' pre-season schedule, four friendlies in England have been confirmed with another two set to be played during the club's Portugal camp at the end of July with the opponents yet to be revealed.

This is all in preparation for the start of the season on the weekend of August 10 with Rovers set to learn who they'll play first when the EFL fixtures are announced in just under a fortnight's time.

With all that considered, here are the key dates for the Gas' summer as preparations for the 2024/25 campaign are stepped up...
