Bristol is a beautiful city to explore in the sunshine but ice cream always makes a day even brighter. Take a look at this list of well-known shops and hidden gems to help you decide where to get your next frozen fix.

Swoon Gelato

Well-known ice cream parlour Swoon is located at the bottom of Park Street, across the road from College Green. The gelato's creamy texture comes from the way the dessert is made, slowly churning rather than the rapid beating done to make ice cream.

Gelato flavours available are Madagascan Vanilla, Pistachio, Chocolate Brownie, Hazelnut, Bacio (Chocolate with Hazelnut), Amarena Cherry Cheesecake and Salted Caramel. There are also guest flavours which will keep you coming back for more.

The parlour has a 4.6 star rating on Google. One reviewer, giving a rating of five stars, said: "Best ice cream in Bristol! The scoop sizes are quite big and the price is fair for being in the heart of the city centre."

Another reviewer, also giving a five star rating, said: "The inside seating offered a fantastic view of the open greenery, adding an extra layer of pleasure to the experience. If you're in Bristol and looking for a sweet treat, don't miss out on Swoon Gelato."
