Brit tourists outraged over 'off the wall' new £180 sunbed charge in Spain

UK holidaymakers visiting Costa del Sol are up in arms over being charged a hefty £180 for sunbeds. British tourists heading to the Spanish hot spot this spring and summer have been forewarned about the shockingly high cost of hiring a sun lounger.

Sublim, a new beach club in Costa del Sol, has faced an angry backlash from disgruntled Brits on social media platforms. One irate UK tourist commented: "You can almost buy a bed for this price," reacting to the exorbitant fee.

"Prices totally off the wall. Way too pricey. I won't be attending! " wrote another incensed holidaymaker. Some defended the beach club, with one user retorting: "Simple answer. Walk away."

Another voiced their indignation amid the stirring debate: "Thanks, but no thanks, that's a little greedy."

On its social media pages, the beach club markets itself as "luxury". It says: "Our restaurant is a tribute to our Mediterranean heritage. Here, you can enjoy delicious food that pays homage to local ingredients and the region's culinary traditions. Whether on the terrace with sea views or in the warm interior, each meal is an experience in itself," reports Birmingham Live.

"Every corner is an opportunity to explore, connect and enjoy. We invite you to take a walk through Sublim and discover the magic that resides in every detail. This is our commitment to you: to offer you a place where beauty, authenticity and passion intertwine to create unforgettable moments."

The €200 sunbeds come with a stipulation that includes €100 worth of food. However, visitors have criticised the food as being overpriced and expensive, particularly the €10 tomato salad, which appears to consist of 12 quarters of tomato sprinkled with salt.
