What did you miss?

Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli has teased an "insane" level of talent in this year's contest, saying that one singer was so good she had an "Adele moment".

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge is back on the ITV talent show's panel for the second year and said he was blown away by the quality of contestants.

However, he said he'd also been shocked by one act that involved a very messy food fight.

What, how, and why?

Bruno Tonioli is loving being back as a TV judge on Britain's Got Talent and told The One Show he couldn't believe how good some of this year's contestants are.

Choreographer and former Strictly star Tonioli said of his second year at BGT: "I found it very inspiring because there are people out there who have an opportunity to share their talent they otherwise wouldn't."

He added: "The talent we discovered is insane." He recalled how one singer had announced she was going to perform a very well-known song but had amazed the panel with a unique take. "We were blown away, it was like hearing that song for the first time," he said. "It was like an Adele moment. She's that good."

"A lot of people try to copy a singer and that is failure," Tonioli said.

But not everyone impressed Tonioli as he said: "There's plenty of lows as well, oh my god!" He remembered how one act had covered him in spaghetti and parmesan cheese and thrown tomato sauce at Simon Cowell.

Meanwhile, fellow One Show guest Zara McDermott admitted that she has not kept dancing since last year's Strictly: "I've been too busy but I really miss it."

Host Alex Jones, who took part in the 2011 series, agreed: "You ask everybody are you still dancing - no. You do it every day and then it falls away."

On yesterday's One Show, Hannah Waddingham spoke about having a run-in with a photographer on the Olivier Awards red carpet, who she sharply reprimanded after he asked her to "show some leg".

Host Alex Jones congratulated her on the opening number that she sang at the ceremony and said: "Many people had already applauded you on the red carpet after your comment to the paparazzi. How are you, Hannah, at the other end of that?"

Waddingham replied: "Thank you, mate, because that's a very nice thing to say actually and I know we know each other of old. I'm good, I called out what needed to be absolutely necessary to call out and I've received a written apology and now I'm so ready to move on."

She continued: "I'm not having it overshadow what was the most glorious, joyful, positive night. I don't usually say this, but I was really flipping proud of that night. It did exactly what we wanted it to, the whole place erupted like a bunch of lunatics, so that's what the takeaway should be."

The One Show airs on BBC One at 7pm on weekdays.
