Britain’s Got Talent Dancers ‘Bitter Harvest’ Address ‘Fix’ Claims

If you watched Saturday’s Britain’s Got Talent auditions (April 30), you’ll have seen dancing duo ‘Bitter Harvest’ blowing the judges away with their beautiful ballet performance and earning themselves the right to stay in the competition.

However, as has been the way with many of the successful acts on this year’s competition, controversy quickly ensued after it was discovered that the pair had previously made it to the finals of Sky 1 show ‘Got It Dance’ in 2014.

Cue some viewers claiming it was ‘unfair’ and a ‘fix’ to show the auditionees, with a spokesman for the show later telling the Daily Star: “Shannon and Peter’s involvement in Got To Dance was clearly published on our website.”

The duo - Shannon and Peter Parker - have now appeared on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ to address viewers’ concerns, saying they ‘feel good’ about their ‘amazing audition’, adding: “We trust each other so much that we get lost in one another when we dance.”

Peter explained: “We want to show people our story. We’ve got lots of ideas we want to share - especially with the production side of things. It’s very exciting and we’ve got our fingers crossed that we will be able to do that. We just want to make everyone enjoy ballet.

“It’s been 12 years since we hung up our ballet shoes and stopped performing. We both teach now because we love being able to pass on the knowledge we’ve learned so that we can inspire a new generation to get into ballet.”
