Some Britain's Got Talent fans were left issuing a complaint as the latest episode of the show kicked off with Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli. The hit ITV talent show returned to screens on Sunday night (May 12) after being bumped from its usual Saturday night slot.

Last month the programme burst back onto our screens as Simon, Bruno, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon started their next search for the country's next best thing with the winner hoping to perform by royal appointment at this year's Royal Variety Performance.

But viewers who were looking forward to tuning in for the next instalment of BGT on Saturday night were left disappointed as the it had been 'pulled' from the schedule.

ITV amended the television schedule and while a reason for the change hasn't been given, the Eurovision Song Contest grand final was airing on Saturday night on BBC One live from Sweden from 8pm, the time BGT usually airs on the rival broadcaster.

But all was not lost as BGT returned on Sunday and kicked off with a wholesome performance from children's choir, Amasing. The group were invited to perform personally by Simon and Bruno as they surprised them by jumping out of a box during one of their rehearsal sessions.

However, while the pre-chosen auditionees isn't a new concept, with Alesha and Amanda surprising a young dancer with the help of former winners Diversity earlier in the series, it didn't leave all BGT viewers impressed.

@JoeyKay20 complained: "Great, another act that we know are 100% guaranteed to go through to at least the semi finals because they’re picked by the judges #BGT." @CtTweets08 sarcastically said: "Starting off with a hand picked act. Wonderful #BGT #BritainsGotTalent." @GarethH91097267 added: "They're going through, it's not like they sign posted it or anything #bgt."
