Britain's Got Talent viewers were left pleading 'why' as they called out a problem with the latest episode - but it appears to be a persistent issue that emerges each week.

The hit ITV talent show returned to screens on Sunday night (May 12) after being bumped from its usual Saturday night slot. Last month the programme burst back onto our screens as Simon, Bruno, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon started their next search for the country's next best thing with the winner hoping to perform by royal appointment at this year's Royal Variety Performance.

But viewers who were looking forward to tuning in for the next instalment of BGT on Saturday night were left disappointed as the it had been 'pulled' from the schedule. While a reason wasn't given, the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 was airing on BBC One at the same time.

Instead, BGT aired on Sunday and kicked off with a wholesome performance from children's choir, Amasing. The group were invited to perform personally by Simon and Bruno as they surprised them by jumping out of a box during one of their rehearsal sessions.

The group left with four 'yeses' from the judges before an ad break occurred. Once back with the action, a daring areliest took to the stage and wowed the judges, but again, an ad break followed.

And it left those tuning in for the latest instalment of auditions pretty frustrated. @RyanTheSoapking said: "2 acts - 2 ad breaks why are they dragging this out? #BGT." @jamie_pragnell noted: "We’ve had the amount of advert breaks as we’ve had bloody acts so far!!!!!! #britainsgottalent #bgt."

@_iamcharlotte_x asked: "Are we gonna have an ad break after every act? #britainsgottalent #bgt." @holzalina28 posted: "One act then an ad break, really? #Bgt." @kisshufan4ever joked: "I swear #BGT would only last 10mins without the ads." @UKTVForever1 added: "Too many ad Breaks one after another #BGT."
