Bruno Tonioli has been accused of 'wasting' his Golden Buzzer during Saturday night's Britain's Got Talent, after an act missed out on a guaranteed spot in the semi finals, despite being told they were one of the best dance groups ever to appear on the show and Bruno instead picking an act with an already established career.

Going into Saturday night's fourth auditions episode of the ITV programme's new series, ex Strictly star Bruno was the only person left still to hit the buzzer, after Amanda Holden and Ant and Dec used it on show one, Alesha Dixon followed suit 24 hours later and Simon Cowell made his pick last week.

Bruno, who famously pressed the Golden Buzzer twice on is first day on the Britain's Got Talent panel last year, was finally swayed to put it into action this time round by singer Taryn Charles, who impressed everyone with her cover of You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman. As soon as she finished the song, the audience were up on their feet chanting "Buzzer! Buzzer!" with Bruno then fulfilling their wish by leaning over to hit it.

As Taryn caused controversy on social media, due to her already existing career in music, young Ghanaian dancers Afronitaaa and Abigail arrived on stage, with Afronitaaa explaining that Abigail was born deaf, adding that she felt so strong about her talent the first time they met that she decided to mentor her, with it being Abigail's 'dream' to be on BGT.

The double act delivered a fantastic performance to a medley of songs by the likes of Fuse ODG and Sean Paul to blow the judges away and earn a standing ovation from the crown. Amanda Holden told them: "Hands down, you are two of the best dancers we've EVER had on Britain's Got Talent," as Simon reacted: "When this goes out, I really believe your lives are going to change for the better. This is one of my favourite auditions of the year."

As Bruno praised both the choreography and the routine, there were plenty of viewers on X who believed Afronitaaa and Abigail should have had the Golden Buzzer, with one posting: "Shocking they weren’t the golden buzzer. So so much more better than the singer Bruno put through earlier" as another wrote: "Bruno definitely wasted his golden buzzer he should’ve done it on this one"
