It's been 12-and-a-half years since Connie Talbot wowed the nation as she came runner-up on the first series of Britain's Got Talent, aged just 6.

She is now celebrating her birthday, aged 19, having built a dedicated audience of 188,000 Instagram followers, to whom she posts photos and videos of performances from her bedroom.

Connie, from Streetly in the West Midlands, has released five albums over the years, including her debut Over the Rainbow, which topped the charts in Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea. It went gold in the UK and has now sold over a quarter of million copies worldwide.

In August 2019 Talbot took part in Britain's Got Talent: The Champions with her own song 'Never Give Up on Us'. By the following day, the song had reached number four on the UK iTunes chart.
