British Gas handing out free £210 vouchers to customers as 'thank you'

British Gas is offering customers vouchers worth up to £210 thanks to a little-known scheme. British Gas is offering £60 or £30 payouts under the little-known scheme - on top of a £150 gift card is available to members who upgrade to a new A-rated energy-efficient boiler.

British Gas said: "The Blue Light Card scheme gives discounts online and in-store to Blue Light Card members. It’s a great way of saying thank you to the people who are always there for us. Blue Light Card is available to people who work in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector and armed forces."

British Gas - which is rivalled by the likes of OVO, EDF, Octopus, EOn and more - says it'll give you a £60 gift card when you choose British Gas for both electricity and gas or a £30 gift card when you choose British Gas for either electricity or gas.

Blue Light Card members can choose a gift card from John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco, Marks and Spencer or Sainsbury’s, the company - which is owned by Centrica - adds. It adds: "Upgrade to a new A-rated energy efficient boiler with British Gas, and we’ll give Blue Light Card members a £150 gift card from a choice of retailers, including Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

"You can spread the cost of your boiler with up to three years’ interest-free credit with zero deposit. And we’ll give you up to 12 years’ warranty too." It continues: "We’re giving Blue Light Card members 20% off Hive’s energy saving tech. Use the Blue Light Card discount to stock up on smart home products that can help you to cut your carbon footprint – and lower your energy bills.

"With the Hive Thermostat, Blue Light Card members can control their heating from their smartphone and save money by never heating an empty home again."
