Britney Spears’ Niece Maddie Has Left Hospital Following Her Near-Death Crash

Some uplifting news for once on a Saturday – Britney Spears’ niece Maddie has left hospital and is on the mend, following a horrendous AVT crash earlier this week.

Eight-year-old Maddie, daughter of Britney’s sister and Nickelodeon star Jamie Lynn, was helicoptered home after getting the all-clear from doctors yesterday.

Jamie Lynn shared a post of herself and Maddie in the helicopter on Instagram, thanking fans for their well-wishes and highlighting the amazing work of the doctors and nurses who helped save Maddie’s life:

“Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, LA…

“We are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover.

“Above all else, we are so thankful for each and every prayer because we know that is what truly made the difference.

“Thank you again to everyone. We are truly blessed.”

Britney followed up with a message to her fans, thanking them for their prayers and branding her niece’s recovery a ‘miracle’:

“So grateful that Maddie was able to go home today… It’s truly a miracle.

"Our prayers were heard, and they were answered!

"Thank you so much for all y our love and support this week.

"My family appreciates it more than you will ever know.”
