Bradley Thomas has won the Bromsgrove seat for the Conservatives in the 2024 general election with 16,533 votes. They won with 32.8% of the vote.

Labour came second with 13,517 votes in the seat which was 26.8% of the vote. It means Thomas has a majority of 3,016. Reform polled 9,584 votes.

Former MP Sajid Javid announced his decision to stand down after the 2024 election. Javid had previously served as home secretary under former Prime Minister Theresa May - and in 2019 was promoted to chancellor by Boris Johnson. He made the decision to step down in 2022 having 'wrestled' with the decision 'for some time.'

Who won Bromsgrove in 2019?

Sajid Javid won the seat of Bromsgrove in 2019 with a resounding 23,000-strong majority. The Conservatives got 34,408 votes in the area, beating Labour's Rory Shannon on 11,302 votes. Turnout for the vote was 72%. The seat has been held by the Tories since the 1980s.
