Brooke Vicent cheekily clapped back at her fiance as he remarked she was out 'living her best life again'. The actress is currently splitting her time between being at home and on the road as she tours the country with The Syndicate.
It was first announced in November last year that Brooke, 31, would be making her stage debut by starring in the late Kay Mellor’s final stage play and she has since been touring across the UK with the show that will stop at The Lowry in Salford from this Friday (May 17).
Like the BBC show of the same name it is the story of five supermarket workers whose lottery syndicate numbers come in just as their jobs and livelihoods are under threat. It is being directed by Kay’s daughter and former Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye in her late mum's name.

But taking part in the show means Brooke is having to spend periods away from her fiance Kean Bryan and their two children - Mexx and Monroe. Their eldest son made his arrival into the world in October 2019 and just over a year later, in November 2020, Brooke announced she was pregnant with her second child who was born in May 2021.
And it's clear she misses them when she's away as taking to her Instagram Story earlier this month, Brooke showed a picture of herself and her boys as her lock screen on her laptop and said: "Mum guilt in full flow this morning on my way to Norwich for our play. I thought I had it together then I've just seen a sheep with 2 little lambs and I've lost it," adding a crying emoji.
Alongside the adorable pictures of her boys, the former Coronation Street star added: "Also! Why do they grow so quick," adding another crying emoji and a broken heart emoji.
But, it appears Kean couldn't help but have a dig at his future wife's expense when she shared her latest post to Instagram. In it, Brooke could be seen out and about and posed up a storm under a neon sign which read: "Don't be a d*ck". Captioning the post, she then wrote: "Fitting."
Kean was quick to respond, writing: "Living your best life again," alongside the grinning face emoji. But Brooke wasted no time in clapping back as she wrote: "Read the sign," much to her followers' amusement as they replied with strings of crying laughing emojis.
Brooke has since returned to Instagram to reshare a clip from the latest episode of Drama Queens in which she was speaking about the fears over her career. Speaking to her cousin Ryan Lalley, the mum-of-two said: "This time last year I was sit here and I was like what am I doing? I was getting no auditions. i was sat here like do I just give it up?"
Speaking about her recent stint on Hits Radio covering for Gemma Atkinson, Brooke continued: "I almost feel like the radio was good because it eased my back into the industry. "I played Sophie Webster for 16 years. There's so many others things I want to do..." But at the end of the clip, she joked that "going to work is a damsite easier than being at home!"
And Brooke saw the funny side when Kean commented: "It’s all starting to make sense." Meanwhile, The Syndicate co-star Gaynor joked following Brooke's comments: "Never put Brooke in the cupboard!!! You’re brilliant darling and beautiful inside & out. Love ya."
