Brooke Vincent has teased her next big move as she took the 'first step' and encouraged those who may be doubting themselves to do the same. The actress is still splitting time between her family and life on the road having made her stage debut back in April.

It was revealed back in November that Brooke would be making her stage debut by starring in the late Kay Mellor’s final stage play. Based on the BBC One show of the same name, the play will tell the story of five supermarket workers whose lottery syndicate numbers come in just as their jobs and livelihoods are under threat.

It has been directed by Kay’s daughter and former Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye, who also stars, in her late mum's name. Brooke is playing Amy, the sister-in-law of supermarket assistant Jamie, who is being played by Gaynor's son Oliver Anthony in his theatrical debut after singer Max George was forced to withdraw from the role.

But despite her delight at taking on the role, Brooke has made no secret of the fact that she's been feeling all the emotions as she spends periods of time away from her two sons, Mexx and Monroa, and has been trying to spend extra time at home where she can.

Now though, in the midst of being a doting mum-of-two and living out her acting career, former Coronation Street star Brooke has hinted she already has something else in the pipeline before finishing her first-ever theatre stint.

Taking to Instagram Story, she shared a quote which said: "This is your sign to just do it." Alongside it, Brooke, who shot to fame playing Sophie Webster in ITV's Corrie, wrote in view of her fans and followers: "I have just made the first step into something I've been thinking about/working on for a while."

Brooke, who also runs her own business, Oh So B, continued: "I've been putting it off since I had the original thought with the mindset of it's not the right time, I'll do it when my tours finished. My life as you know is constantly 100 miles an hour. I guess I will always be this way, always on to the next thing. But for me, if you can relate and you're doing the same, this is your sign also."

It comes after Brooke recently took to her social media to page to reveal her 'funeral song' amidst celebrating her 31st birthday. The mum-of-two shared a video from Alesha Dixon in which she was seen performing during one of Britain's Got Talent's live semi-finals at the start of June.

The ITV show judge performed a medley of her biggest hits over the years, including her tracks with Mis-Teeq before she launched into her brand new single Ransom, which is out now. Sharing the video, Brooke said: "No I just can't with this!"

She continued: "I was only talking about this 2 nights ago when I told @jade.a.golding my funeral song [crying emoji]. Fun fact, I chose this as my funeral song when I was around 11 because I knew every lyric and it was my favourite song for years!! My party trick also... My younger self is ecstatic right now!!! The beat. Her voice. Her flow!!! I'm just obsessed!!"
