A month since opening the doors to a major new extension at the popular Brookfield Care Home in Nab Wood near Saltaire, the home is already welcoming residents into the stunning new rooms.

The extension has seen eight new en-suite rooms built, alongside the refurbishment of the rest of the home. Offering full-time care, respite care, palliative care, day care and short breaks at the purpose-built home, Brookfield Care Home, which is family owned and run by Czajka Care Group, has been rated as ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Julie-ann Fitton, manager at Brookfield Care Home, said: “We knew that the new rooms would be popular, and it’s been lovely to welcome new faces into our home. We pride ourselves on creating a home from home for our residents, but with all the medical support they need to safely enjoy their day to day lives. With a host of regular activities and trips out, there is always something for our residents to take part in if they wish and we are lucky to have a wonderful chef that creates a wide variety or tasty, homemade meals.”

Managing director of Czajka Care Group, Konrad Czajka, added: “The team at Brookfield are kind, caring and professional and they deliver a quality service to our residents in really smart surroundings. It’s been a delight to expand our offering to more residents, with eight state of the art new en-suite rooms.”

Fairmount Park has a crown green bowling and putting green, and many residents from the care home and retirement homes are members of The Clubhouse, where they enjoy facilities including a swimming pool, gym, bowling green, snooker table and much more.
