Brooklyn Beckham's latest culinary effort has been slated by fans who said it looked like something children would make at school.

The 23-year-old – the eldest son of Spice Girl-turned-designer Victoria and football star David Beckham – is a budding chef and shares his culinary videos with his followers online.

But a recent attempt at the ultimate Sunday roast horrified fans who said the beef looked so raw that "a good vet could bring it back to life", and he was mocked when he made a simple sandwich on the Today show's cooking segment.

Another fan thought it looked "burnt" and asked: "Where is the white sauce?"

"It’s getting embarrassing for him now," said another person, adding: "Kids would learn to do this at school."

"Next week little Brooklyn will be making dinosaur chicken nuggets," joked somebody else.

"The fact that he burnt the lasagne which is why he doesn't do a close up of it at the end," said another.

Others offered advice for the 23-year-old, who is married to actor Nicola Peltz.

Tips included soaking his eggplants and tearing his basil instead of cutting it.

However, some of Brooklyn's followers thought his dish looked pretty tasty.

"You should have your own cooking show or a cookbook or both," said one.
