Excitement is now at fever pitch for Bruce Springsteen in Sunderland, with The Boss ready to entertain an expected crowd of 45,000 this week.

It's been 12 years since The Boss and the E Street Band were last on Wearside and now the wait is very nearly over for the legions of fans the American megastar will attract to the Stadium of Light on Wednesday, May 22.

Bruce kicked off the UK leg of his latest tour in Cardiff at the start of this month and since then has been delighting huge crowds across the UK and Ireland, with him packing out Croke Park in Dublin in bright sunshine on Sunday night. And now hopes are high for some warm weather this week when he arrives in Sunderland,.

Given that Bruce is a star well known for changing things up from gig to gig, his setlist for Wednesday evening is pretty hard to predict, although the likes of Born to Run and Dancing in the Dark are bound to be on there. One thing we do have a good idea of thought is the stage times for the concert.

It's an early start at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday, with gates at the Stadium of Light expected to open at 4pm.

There will be NO support act for Bruce, with the man himself due on stage at 7pm and expected to play for over three hours, with an approximate finishing time of 10..15pm.

The designated drop off and pick up points are Dame Dorothy Street (approx 0.5 mile walk). Taxis Pre event drop off point is Monk Street. Post-event, all collections will be in the City centre.
