Brummie among five convicted over cocaine and heroin operation from town

A man from Birmingham and four others have been convicted of supplying Class A drugs. It followed an operation over the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Tyrone James, 23, from Yardley, and Alexi Da’Costa, 23, from Corby, were both found guilty of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and cocaine, in the Northamptonshire town following a 12-day trial at Leicester Crown Court. William Ian Hynds, 27 abd also from Corby, and 19-year-old Tyler Tierney, of no fixed address, were both found guilty of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Stephen Lee Donnelly, 48, from, Corby, was found guilty of permitting a premises to be used to supply Class A drugs. Northamptonshire Police raided several address across Corby last year. All five men were remanded in custody ahead of sentencing at the same court on Friday, May 24.

Barry Aaron Joseph McGlone, 36, from Corby, and Jason Keith McShefferty, 46, of no fixed address, were both cleared of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Speaking after the case, Det Insp Torie Harrison said: “Tackling drug harm is a matter of priority for Northamptonshire Police and we hope this investigation demonstrates drug dealing is taken seriously by both police and the courts.

“We hope the successful conviction of these men also sends out a clear message to those involved in the illegal drugs trade.
