Bruno Fernandes is reportedly one of the transfer targets for clubs in Saudi Arabia and is set to make a decision on his future at Manchester United after the Euro 2024.

A new contract for the United skipper is understood not to be a priority for the club, but they would be open to a renewal if he stays beyond the transfer window. Fernandes has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich and Inter Milan this summer.

Amid interest from the Saudi Pro League, a new report by TEAMtalk claims that Fernandes has informed clubs that he will be open to listening to proposals after the tournament. He reportedly wants to understand the Saudi project better before making a decision.

First contacts are said to have first happened back in November, with the Public Investment Fund confirming that the midfielder had been included in the list of top targets for the summer. Uncertainty over his future was partly fuelled by the player, who said on the Old Trafford pitch in May: "I feel that the club wants me to be a part of the future, so, as I said always, I don't want to be a player that the club doesn't want to have.

"I will be here if the club wants me to be a part of the future. If for some reason they don't want me, I will go."

It is thought that Fernandes would favour to stay at United, having previously said he wants to be competing for titles with the club. "I just want my expectations to fit with the expectations of the club," he said prior to the FA Cup final with Manchester City.

"If you go talk to any fan, they will tell you the same thing. We want to compete for the league. We want to be playing Champions League football. We want to be in cup finals. That is the standard. That is what I want. That is what you all deserve."
