Bruno Guimaraes drops positive hint on Newcastle United future in emotional message

Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes has dropped a positive hint about his future at St James' Park.

The midfielder has reflected on the 2024/25 campaign after leading the charge into a potential European spot. The Brazil star has a get out clause in his contract throughout the month of June and could be sold for £100million, but has suggested he is looking ahead to life on Tyneside.

Bruno said on X: "We've reached the end of another season, and I couldn't let it pass without thanking our fans and sharing my thoughts on everything we've been through this year. It has been a huge mix of emotions, but I'm certain that I gave my best at all times, as did the entire team.

"It was a season full of injuries, and I'm sure we could have done much more if we had been at full strength. Even so, I think we achieved a lot with the little we had this year. Personally, it was a great pleasure to be present in 50 out of 51 games this year.

"I was the player who covered the most kilometers in the Premier League. Taking the club back to the Champions League after 20 years is something we will never forget, and I'm sure we deserved better luck.

"This is yet another season that will stay in our memories and serve as an example for the ones to come! Thank you, Jesus, for all the blessings and opportunities."

Bruno is a player that Eddie Howe is desperate to keep with the ex-Lyon star one of the leading lights at St James'. Howe, speaking after some observers noted his wave to the crowd at Brentford as a farewell, said recently: "I don’t think it’s a wave goodbye.

"Bruno probably does that many times but it can be interpreted in a way that people watching decide that’s the case.

"Certainly from my side, I hope it’s not. He is integral to what we’re doing and is an inspirational player, we’re desperate to keep him."
