Bruno Tonioli's Britain's Got Talent replacement 'sealed' after ITV snub as shock rival emerges

The identity Bruno Tonioli's Britain's Got Talent replacement is reported to be a 'done deal' with it highly likely that the former Strictly Come Dancing judge will have to miss at least some of the next series due to a scheduling conflict. However, a shock new contender for the role has now emerged, after another star quit their high profile job.

Bruno joined the BGT panel last year, with many ITV viewers already big fans of his, thanks to his near 20 year stint on Strictly and his famously OTT critiques. Having caused chaos on his first day alongside colleagues Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon by pressing the Golden Buzzer twice and, then going one better by actually breaking it this year, Bruno took his seat to see Sydnie Christmas triumph in last weekend's Britain's Got Talent final; becoming the first solo female act to win.

With Saturday Night Takeaway now on a 'break,' ITV are reported to be bringing BGT back earlier for 2025 to fill the gap in the primetime schedule, meaning the auditions will need to be filmed at the end of this year, rather than the start of next. And that causes a major issue for Bruno, as he will be over in America on the panel of Dancing With The Stars, meaning replacing him could be the option.

Having been regarded as the clear frontrunner to take David Walliams' seat on the BGT panel when he left in 2022 and being confident he'd got the job before a last minute snub, Alan Carr is being viewed as a 'dead cert' to get the nod to step in for Brun. However, while Alan is the 10/11 favourite with Betideas, the same bookies think that the role could end up going to someone else and that someone is Roman Kemp, who recently left his hosting gig on Capital Radio.

With ITV talent show hosting experience under his belt on Britain Get Singing, Roman has the credentials and has now climbed the market as a 6/1 tip. Spokesperson, Le Astley, commented: "Kemp has been out of work since leaving the radio station in March and is 6/1 to feature as a judge in next year’s edition of the ITV show, should Tonioli be axed from the programme.

“Those odds put Kemp third in the market, with Alan Carr the current odds-on favourite and James Corden also in the running.”
