Buchanan Street units will become flats after bid approved

Several Glasgow city centre units will become flats after a planning application was approved.

As we reported in November last year, an application was handed in to the council to transform office and storage units - some of which are empty - on Buchanan Street into liveable spaces.

Previously, in October 2021, permission was granted for a change of use.

Now, applicant Buchanan Properties was given the green light to convert the space.

From 101 to 107 Buchanan Street, there are retailers such as Kiehl's, Timpson, News Plus, Bier Halle and Mountain Warehouse.

Above them, the first-floor unit will become a two-bedroom flat, while on the second floor, two one-bedroom, one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom apartments are planned.

On the third floor, there will be a two-bedroom home.
