“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” stars reunite at Ed Sheeran concert to celebrate Sarah Michelle Gellar's daughter

Members of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast have reunited in an unlikely place.

Over the weekend, Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted rocking a concert tee with former costars Seth Green  and Emma Caufield at an Ed Sheeran concert. As Gellar later revealed on Instagram, fans can thank her daughter (who she shares with husband Freddie Prinze Jr.) for the cast reunion.

"My daughter wanted her 14 bday party to be at [Ed Sheeran]'s concert at [SoFi Stadium]," Gellar captioned the post. "Her guest list may not have been what you expected."

After instructing fans to scroll for a photo of her turning a concert tee into a great dress, she added, "I really love these people."

Caulfield commented, "The best night. Love everyone so hard." She also shared an additional photo of the Buffy stars with Sheeran. Referring to their characters, she wrote, "A slayer, a demon, a werewolf and a bard walked into a bar…"

Back when Buffy was airing, Gellar starred as the titular teen vampire slayer battling against the forces of evil. Green played Oz, a werewolf and boyfriend of Buffy's best friend Willow (Alyson Hannigan). Caufield appeared as Anya Jenkins, a vengeful demon who eventually became human.

Though a full-fledged Buffy reboot probably isn't in the cards, Caulfield is among the many cast members set to reprise their roles for the Audible audio original, Slayers: A Buffyverse Story.

The story follows Spike (James Marsters) 20 years after the series finale, deep undercover in Los Angeles and trying to convince the forces of darkness that he's back to his evil ways — at least until his cover is blown by 16-year-old Indira Nunnally (Laya DeLeon Hayes). The saga will reunite Spike with his old flame, Drusilla (Juliet Landau), among other familiar voices.

As for Gellar, she is happy to leave her slaying days in the past.

"What worked for Buffy was that the monsters represented, they were a metaphor for the horrors of adolescence," she said of a potential reboot in 2021. "I don't think it's me, I don't think I should be the one doing it."

Spike's Buffyverse story premieres Oct. 12.
