Bull Sharks Steal Fisherman's Prize Catch

A man who saw two deadly 300lb bull sharks stealing a prize fish from an angler has told Sky News he and his colleagues were "literally shaking".

The fisherman was reeling in the 170lb tarpon, which can grow to up to 8ft long, at Boca Grande Pass in Florida.

But the catch was taken from him by the two predators in a matter of seconds.

Witness Kelly Brockpahler said: "Just as we finally had the fish to the side of the boat the guide yelled 'Shark!'.

"We tried to pull the fish free, but within a matter of seconds the fish was attacked and had no chance.

"Being from Minnesota, we had never seen this before and had no idea what to do.

"We stood there amazed as two 300lb bull sharks destroyed a 170lb tarpon within a matter of seconds."

Mr Brockpahler said the angler also hooked one of the bull sharks, but the group were late for their flight home so they cut it free.

He added: "When it was over we were literally shaking. We could not believe what we just saw."
