Burglar Claims He Broke Into Home To Rescue Wife Taylor Swift

A man who broke into a man’s home insisted he was only there to save his wife - who happened to be pop superstar Taylor Swift.

In case you thought Taylor had dumped Calvin Harris and found herself a new man, Paul Herrin is not actually married to the Shake It Off singer.

But that didn’t stop him from making the extraordinary claim as he forced his way into the house in Nashville, Tennessee.

The 26-year-old apparently knocked on the door and the resident - a landlord - thought it was one of his tenants dropping off their rent money.

However, Herrin is said by police to have shoved the door open and blocked the man inside from closing it.

As he continued to try and force his way in, Herrin reportedly told the man that he was there to “save Taylor Swift, his wife, and that he had every right to search the residence”.

After a brief struggle, the landlord managed to close the door but Herrin went round the back and got in through another door.

Police who arrived at the scene found Herrin in the back garden and he later repeated his claim to officers that he was there for Taylor.

He added that he was informed of where to find her by a confidential source who advised to “look for a house with a green light over the front door”.

Herring was charged with aggravated burglary while Taylor Swift was nowhere to be seen.
