Burnley 1-4 Newcastle player ratings: Jacob Murphy's 10/10, Wilson excellent & Livramento shines

Newcastle United put in one of their best away performances of the season after sweeping Burnley aside at Turf Moor.

The Magpies took the lead after absorbing some early pressure from Burnley in the opening exchanges as Callum Wilson netted his second goal in as many matches. Wilson struck after Isak's effort had been beaten away by Arijanet Muric on 19 minutes.

United doubled the lead 35 minutes when Sean Longstaff's well struck finish from a Jacob Murphy cross put Howe's team in full control. With five minutes of the first half left Anthony Gordon trickled the ball into the path of Bruno Guimaraes who fired home in the box and made it 3-0.

Newcastle's Alexander Isak missed a penalty early in the second half after being denied by Muric but did make it 4-0 three minutes later with a tap in.
