A bus driver has admitted killing a 16-year-old boy on the road.

Paul Manu, 63, pleaded guilty to causing the death by dangerous driving of Mario Radulescu in Mandeville Road, Northolt, north-west London, on December 17 2021.

Mario, originally from Romania, was a student at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College in Harrow-on-the-Hill.

Manu, of Lea Crescent, Ruislip, west London, wept and apologised during Wednesday’s Old Bailey hearing before Judge Alexia Durran.

Adjourning sentencing until August 3, the judge said the two aspects of dangerous driving were speed and going through a red light.

Manu was granted unconditional bail but told he may be sent to prison.
